Certified Public Accountant
An established and growing CPA firm is seeking a full-time CPA/Tax Preparer with a minimum of 3 years practical industry experience in individual and corporate tax. This position also has the opportunity of being a flexible part-time-off-season position, if desired. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and personable with a great sense of humor! This person will need to apply strong communication skills to thrive in a busy, multitasking office. They will nee to be a responsible, self starter who works independently within a team atmosphere. The office environment is fun, flexible, and upbeat and we are seeking the perfect candidate to add to our team!

Job Requirements:

MUST have current CPA license or be able to reinstate license prior to January 2018
3 years practical industry experience preparing income tax returns for individuals and small to mid-size organizations
QuickBooks familiarity and financial statement compilation experience
Proficiency with federal and state payroll and payroll tax reporting, WA state and local excise tax reporting
QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification and Lacerte tax software familiarity a plus
Ability to review complex income tax returns for individuals and small to mid-size organizations
Affinity for business development and networking
Available to work at least minimally extended hours during tax season a plus

Job Responsibilities:

Performing personal tax interviews and preparing individual and business returns ? ability to quickly establish a comfortable rapport with clients
Demonstrating passion in helping clients understand the complexities of the tax system and their associated responsibilities
Successfully managing new and existing client relationships using strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on delivering outstanding client service such that a long-term foundation of goodwill is established and maintained
Business mentoring and consulting for new business owners ? assisting individuals with the responsibilities of starting a new business
Leading activities, conducting training and providing technical advice to our bookkeeping and payroll staff
Identifying and resolving complex accounting issues/problems
Maintaining awareness of changing federal, state and local regulations and identifying any potential compliance issues within our client base
