About the Ortho/Neuro Unit

Our Orthopedic & Neuroscience unit is staffed with safe, compassionate and engaged team members. This unit covers a wide range of services for orthopedic and trauma patients as well as those surgical patients admitted from other services. This unit is designed to provide care for patients who have stable conditions and do not require an intensive care unit setting.

·         Number of Rooms -
·         Number of Staff - 39 RN's, 20 CNA's, and 3 HUC's
·         Typical RN to Patient Ratio - 1:5
·         Average Patient Turnover Rate - 75%
About the Job

As a CNA you will perform various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You are the perfect fit if you enjoy a job that is fast pace, uses critical thinking, and you have a passion for providing excellent patient care. In this job you will assist patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. As a CNA you will collect non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but will not start or administer intravenous fluids. You will aid physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. In this job you will document patient interactions as needed. 
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of High school diploma or GED required
1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
